What to Know About Dental Implants
One Or More Missing Teeth Can Be Restored With Dental Implants
If you’re missing teeth and desire a fuller, more natural smile, dental implants could be a great solution for you. The function of your mouth will also be restored. During the procedure our dentist will affix a replacement tooth (a bridge or partial denture) if there is only one or two teeth missing, or full dentures if there’s significant tooth loss.
Dental Implant Procedure
Dental implants are basically artificial roots for new replacement teeth. When the titanium root is inserted into the jaw, it will be left to heal for up to six months to establish a foundation for the tooth. Then a replacement tooth is created to affix to the implant. When the procedure is over, you will be left with a tooth that looks very real.
